Common Uses

Liptor is a drug designed to treat patients with high cholesterol levels, in combination with certain other drugs known as diet changers. It can also treat high lipid levels in patients.

Warnings

Patients who're allergic to any of the drug's ingredients must not use it. If you have a history of liver or kidney disease, the drug could be dangerous to you. Women in their pregnancy and women who're breastfeeding should also not use it.

Side effects

The drug is known to cause some side effects which manifest themselves for short periods of time and do not last long. If you experience any of them for longer than you think is normal, contact a doctor. The commonly experienced side effects are back pain, sinus inflammation, rashes, sleeplessness, diarrhea, gasses, dizzines, arthritis, and swelling around the hands and feet.

You may experience some more severe ones, such as muscle pains, yellowing of the skin or eyes, and rashes. Some people have reported allergic reactions as well.

Your dosage will be determined by various factors, including your overall health status, age, and any previous treatments. Study the information leaflet provided with the medicine carefully, and apply the medicine exactly as described on it.

If you've been prescribed any special diet or exercise programs to follow alongside the medicine's use, make sure you follow them strictly and responsibly. The medicine may be taken with food or on an empty stomach - this is irrelevant to its effects.

Any pain or discomfort should be reported to your doctor, especially if it's accompanied by a fever.

The medicine is known to cause dizziness in some patients. Take caution when driving under its effects, or while operating heavy machinery. Alcohol may make these effects worse, drink responsibly while using the medication.

Your doctor may need to follow your medical condition closely through tests and examinations - keep to those closely and do not miss any appointments. The medication should only be used by doctor's prescription and not on your own accord. If you feel you may have overdosed, contact a doctor immediately.

Missed doses are not a problem, just make sure to take the next one on time. Do not take two doses at the same time to compensate for missed ones.

Keep the medicine in a dry, cool place, away from sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach for children and pets.
