Phentermine is a product designed to suppress one's hunger. It's used as an auxiliary tool to help treat weight problems. However, it's not a complete solution on its own - it must be used in combination with proper dieting and exercising in order to achieve an effect.
Instructions
The best time to take this medication is about an hour before having breakfast. You should avoid taking it late in the day, especially around the evening, as it's known to cause sleeplessness and may cause serious sleeping problems. Make sure you follow the prescription details closely and never take more than the prescribed dose.
Side effects
Various side effects have been associated with the use of this medication, but unfortunately none of them can be predicted. If you start noticing anything unusual during the course of your treatment, contact a doctor immediately in order to resolve the situation. Sometimes, you may need to stop using the drug altogether, but only a doctor will be able to properly determine whether or not this is needed.
The side effects associated with this medicine include an altered sex drive, depression, sleeplessness, dry mouth, diarrhea, dizziness and headaches, increased heart rate, increased sensitivity in all of the senses, tremors, and an unpleasant taste in the mouth.
Warnings
Make sure you specify any problems you're having or have had in the past to your doctor when you're getting examined for the medication. Pay special attention to any problems related to the heart, as well as diabetes and emotional problems. If you're pregnant or are breast-feeding, using this medication may be unadvisable, consult your doctor to get this determined most appropriately.
Using alcohol in combination with the medicine can have severe side effects - make sure you limit alcohol consumption while undergoing treatment with this medication. Children should not use the medicine as it has not been designed for them - if your child needs similar therapy, consult your doctor to figure out alternative courses of treatment.
Interactions with other drugs
You'll need to inform your doctor of any medications you're currently using, regardless if they're prescribed ones or freely available. The ones you should pay special attention to are those related to high blood pressure treatment, as well as MAo inhibitors, and any other weight loss medications. Stimulants may have negative effects on your treatment, so avoid drinking coffee, energy drinks and similar products while you're treating yourself with this medication.
Additional information
This medication is only meant to help you with your diet - it's not supposed to completely replace it. You'll need to eat and train properly to achieve maximum results. Do not share the medication with others as it may have unknown side effects on them.
Missed doses
Missing a dose is not fatal. Just make sure you take the next one. However, do not try to compensate for the missed one by taking extra - it will have negative effects on your health.

Keep the product in a dry, cool place with no direct exposure to sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach for children and pets.
